Can I offer a trial lesson?
Yes, and it is usually the first card on the page. Price a short first lesson low enough that saying yes is easy; it still gets paid for up front, so a trial costs you a slot and not an evening. Plenty of tutors also leave a short video or a sample worksheet on the page, free to anyone who taps.
How does booking actually work?
You set the days and hours you teach, how long a lesson runs and how much notice you need. The student sees only the times that are really free, picks one and pays there and then. Nothing to connect on day one. If you want every booking to land on your Google Calendar by itself, that is one switch on Pro.
Can I sell lesson packs, not just single lessons?
Yes. A block of five or ten lessons is one card with one price, paid once, and you book the sessions between you as they come. A term works the same way: one card, paid at the start of it. Fewer payment reminders, fewer awkward messages.
How do I get paid, and can a parent pay for their child?
Payments run through Stripe into your own account, and payouts land in your bank. Whoever taps Book is who pays, so a parent can book and pay for a student without anything special. Checkout opens right on the page: no redirect, no account to make, Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card.
Where does the lesson itself happen?
Wherever you already teach. The page sells the lesson, takes the money and holds the slot; the lesson runs on your own video link, or at your table if you teach in person. Yoink is the front desk, not the classroom.
